Dubai-based Renewable Energy Company to Continue Enabling Organizations Curb Carbon Footprint

Dubai: 04 May, 2010 – PTL Solar™, experts in solar street lighting solutions and part of Green Energy LLC, today announced it has received the ‘Environmental Sector Award’ at the first Middle East Business Leaders Summit and Awards 2010, for enabling the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region save an aggregate of 6,800 metric tonnes in annual carbon emissions.

The Dubai-based company also won the ‘Power and Energy Sector Award 2010’ for its leading role in introducing solar energy solutions into the MEA markets, through over 100 projects it implemented in 2009.

The Middle East Business Achievement Awards 2008 took place on Sunday, 16th November 2008. The gala event was held at the Intercontinental Hotel, Festival City, Dubai, UAE. The Middle East Business Achievement Awards are the most prestigious business accolade that a  Middle East organisation or individual can win. The Middle East Business Achievement Awards honoured regional professionals in ten Award categories.

Environmentalist of the year Recognition – Green Energy LLC bags the Alternative Energy Award 2008

Under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan President of the U.A.E, the Alternative Energy Awards 2008 took place on 4th November at a premier reception at the ADIPEC 2008 gala reception, with individuals, companies and developers receiving accolades recognizing their contribution to promoting environmental awareness.

Green Energy LLC (www.ptlsolar.com) won the Alternative Energy Awards 2008 under "Environmentalist of the Year" category for developing a new and innovative environmental solution, technology or product that heightens awareness about environmental issues and promote actions that lead towards sustainability. The company was also finalist under "New Energy Investor of the year" award category.
